-Another Day, Another Rant-

Word.

Back from the everyday, no time off, job doin at the ghetto mall is a new little article I decided to whip up. This isn't a "what you SHOULD play" or "what you SHOULD do" article(lord knows we got enuf of those ego-filled cocksucks in the industry as it is), but rather a little insight into what I've been doin game wise lately...

Grove on Fight:
Old school early 97 saturn fighter from Atlus. This is the 3rd in the Power Instinct series, and I believe one of the first(if not THE first)fighter to have a tag feature. Animation is a little stiff for a saturn game(especially one that uses the 4meg card), but hell, it plays like a dream. Badass character designs(minus points for the fag and the cowboy), innovative moves, combo system, and supers round out this fun blast from the "silver age" of fighters. I actually remember the reason I went back to playing this. Awhile back I was thinkin about how hard it was to do high amounts of combos in this game and what our(being myself and my friends) original skills were at the time. So, after a 22 of MGD I got to work and went at it. To my suprise I found a HUGE plethora of combo possibility in this old ass game! Amazes the hell out of me that nobody did a video for this by now. Well, after commin up with a few combos I check out www.gamefaqs.com to see if anybody else had any luck commin up with stuff. What did I find? A combo faq! As I scan this thing, looking for anything that might seem remotely "insperational" and also checking to make sure I didn't accidentally come up with a combo that has already been performed, I come to the realization that the person(who will remain nameless) that did this faq had no idea what he was doing! Half of these combos weren't legit(unless your opponent can't block from the loss of his left hand) and most required you to start them off with some astoundingly gay setup that would never be possible in game. So off I go(currently as of this writing) working on combos that will be considered "pimp" and at the same time, feasible for the game itself.

Old school:
Yep, thanks to the wonder that is WinCE, I've been reliving the glory days of gaming on my DC. Maniac Mansion,SuperMarioBros2,KidNiki,Goonies,NinjaGaiden2,RiverCityRansom,etc have all been the mainstay of the last 2-3 days at my house. Nothin' quite like relivin your past with some of the best stuff ever made on a system that you constantly use to play the new games! Besides, it'll make "old school tribute" vids a hell of alot easier. That's for damn sure. : )

NOTE: for the homies that want to make a RcR face while they chat online, hold alt and put in this code of numbers on your numpad = 045484. Let go of alt, then do a " _ " then hold alt and put the numbers in again. _ <--- RcR FACE! W007!

New School: Lot's of Twisted Metal Black. That game is so ungodly addicting it should be illegal. The game plays like gold, the music is fuckin dope as hell(it makes you feel like the world will end if you don't kill the other people), and the storyline is a perfect blend of the macabre and twisted world of serial killers. Fat ass shizznit to the max. I believe that the May-o-Naize is gonna do the review for our site on that game soon as well. Look forward to it.

If your wondering, I still hate fake ass white people. Just for the record.

Also, DDR still sucks...and I'm hopin that my homie GuardDog can make it back to T-Town with his sanity as he has no Pump over in Ohio. Mad props if you make it back here alive and sane bro.

Hmmm...How would you readers feel if I did a ClockTower(the original psx one) tribute? I think it's about time that game got some recognition(since most otaku dork mags gave it a shitty review due to no zombies, no guns, and the fact that it had a good storyline). Mayo also has some new shit in store for the readers, but I don't have a damn clue as to what it is yet. _

Hopefully everything will get back into it's full swing once my home office sends someone for me to train so I can get a few days off a week(7days a week = good money, but it also = insanity). That, and the fact that once GD gets back from Ohio, the crew will be full and whole again so we can finally get off our asses and get to work on some more combo vids and reviews 'n' whatnot.

Peace
